2003, one of my favorite moe. years and this show was one of the best of the year. Gotta love a Jazz Wank opener, not quite dueling guitars but close. Gets the show rolling before slamming into NCD > Wormwood. Even though they get heavily played, they set the tone for the rest of the show. Next comes over an hour of purely insane psychedelia with Brent Black, Time Ed, McBain. The return of YOY to finish out the first set is very welcome and wraps up one hell of a set of music.
Second set is more of a roller coaster ride with some great ups and downs. Living Again opens up the second set followed by the slow build up of Recreational Chemistry and Happy Hour Hero. Next comes the southern fried funky Rebubula. Water flows out of Rebubula to cool things down. I love hearing Head especially closing out set two. They really stir this venue into a frenzy before coming back around to the final refrain. Like I said 2003 was an incredible year and the instant live releases bring out all the musicians on stage in a perfect mix. This is incredibly clear recording listen to it loud. Enjoy!
